About Kitab
At Kitab, we’re democratising human learning experience. We leverage advanced AI to empower the next generation of knowledge seekers to achieve their goals, discover new possibilities, and make informed decisions in their personal and professional lives.
About the Role
We aren’t building just another learning platform—we’re building a platform about evolving, finding purpose, and creating impactful change in the journeys of our users.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Experience Designer to lead the design and development of our growth program library. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in learning design with a strong grounding in behavioral science, emotional and psychological frameworks, and effective program sequencing—turning complex science into journeys that feel personal, purposeful, and transformative.
What You’ll Do
• Design end-to-end growth programs (e.g. Focus, Calm, Clarity) including day-by-day curricula, learning arcs, and progression frameworks
• Apply behavioral science principles (e.g. Habit formation, CBT, spaced repetition, motivational psychology) to build programs that drive lasting, meaningful change
• Define difficulty progressions and scaffolding strategies so users are always appropriately challenged without being overwhelmed
• Determine the right delivery modality for each stage of a program such as journaling prompts, reflective exercises, audio, micro-lessons, or practice drills
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and content teams to bring programs to life inside the app
• Define clear learning outcomes and success metrics for each growth track
• Iterate on programs using user data, session feedback, and emerging research insights
• Build and maintain a content taxonomy that supports AI-driven personalisation
• Stay current with research in learning science, positive psychology, neuroscience, and habit formation
What We’re Looking For
• 2-5 years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, or curriculum development
• Strong grounding in behavioral science, psychology, or a related field
• Experience designing programs for consumer apps or digital wellness/personal development products
• Ability to translate complex frameworks (e.g. CBT, Fogg Behavior Model, Self-Determination Theory) into accessible, engaging user experiences
• Strong writing skills—you can produce compelling, clear content for diverse audiences
• Systems thinker who can design at the macro level (full program arc) and the micro level (a single prompt or exercise)
• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities
Nice to Have
• Experience with AI-powered or personalised learning systems
• Prior experience as a coach, therapist, or group facilitator
• Familiarity with gamification and motivational design frameworks (Octalysis, SDT)
What We Offer
• Creative ownership over the learning philosophy of an AI-first platform
• An opportunity to design programs that meaningfully impact millions of users
• A collaborative, mission-driven team at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science
• Competitive compensation
• A culture-first team
Kitab is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
