Job Description: Business Analyst (Capital Markets / Investment Management)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong techno-functional expertise in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Risk Management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the full trade lifecycle, UAT leadership, risk frameworks, FIX protocol, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver critical business and regulatory solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
· Lead requirements gathering, documentation (BRD, FRD, User Stories), workflow mapping, and gap analysis.
· Conduct JAD sessions with Trading Desks, Portfolio Managers, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams.
· Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
· Manage and prioritize product backlogs using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Trade Lifecycle & Capital Markets Expertise
· Support end-to-end trade flows across Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Forex, Options, ETFs, Private Equity, and Structured Products.
· Validate front-to-back trade processes including order placement, execution, allocations, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
· Work with OMS/EMS platforms, market connectivity, and brokerage systems.
Risk Management (Market, Model, Liquidity, Credit)
· Analyze VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, exposure calculations, and liquidity metrics (LCR/NSFR).
· Contribute to market risk policy formulation, governance, and regulatory compliance.
· Identify risk hotspots, process gaps, and control weaknesses with actionable remediation plans.
· Support regulatory reporting including Mark-to-Market and Notional Change requirements.
UAT, QA & Testing Leadership
· Lead end-to-end UAT cycles for trading, risk, and investment applications.
· Create test plans, test cases, and defect logs; track issues through JIRA until closure.
· Perform regression, functional, and production validation testing.
· Coordinate with QA, development teams, and Front Office for seamless deployment.
FIX Protocol & System Integrations
· Gather and validate FIX requirements for OMS/EMS integration.
· Support FIX message mapping, configuration, certification, and UAT.
· Collaborate with brokers, exchanges, and internal development teams for connectivity and workflow enhancements.
Client Management & Onboarding (Buy-side/Sell-side)
· Manage onboarding for clients such as Hedge Funds, Family Offices, Asset Managers, and Prime Brokers.
· Conduct requirement workshops, product demos, trainings, and post-implementation support.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, escalations, and enhancement discussions.
Project & Stakeholder Management
· Drive project plans, milestones, and sprint activities (Planning, Grooming, Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
· Ensure alignment between business needs and technology delivery.
· Prepare executive-level dashboards, presentations, and risk summaries for senior stakeholders.
